Becoming Her
Dear Younger Me,
You spent so much time wondering if you were enough.
Enough for the room.
Enough for the opportunity.
Enough for the people you loved.
You thought confidence would arrive one day like a gift someone else could hand you.
But here's what I've learned.
Confidence isn't given.
It's built.
One hard decision.
One healed wound.
One prayer.
One act of courage at a time.
So yes, baby girl...
You had to do it scared.
I wish you knew that your worth was never tied to your title, your appearance, your accomplishments, or someone else's approval.
I wish you knew that God wasn't asking you to become someone else.
He was patiently revealing who He created you to be all along.
You don't have to rush.
You don't have to compete.
You don't have to carry everything.
One day, you'll discover that peace is far more valuable than proving yourself.
And one day...
You'll look in the mirror and realize that every setback, every prayer, every lesson, and every season was shaping the woman you were always meant to become.
So be patient with yourself.
God is still writing your story.
And trust me...
She's worth the wait, because nothing is ever wasted.
With grace,

Steph,
This touched my heart. Years ago, when my husband shared that I was going back to school, someone replied, “Good, because we need more educated people here.” It struck me then, and still does, that formal education should never be the measure of a person’s value or abilities. Life itself has been my greatest teacher. Every experience, lesson, setback, and triumph has shaped who I am. Degrees may educate the mind, but life’s journey educates the soul. Thank you for this beautiful reminder that our worth is not found in titles, accomplishments, or approval, but in who God created us to be. ❤️
