Honoring This Season!

Honoring This Season!

As many of you know, in December turned 56, and if I’m being honest, I found myself feeling bogged down by the quiet pressure of no longer being the younger, more energetic, slimmer, easy-going version of myself.

I felt her slipping away.

I watched my gray hair become more visible.

I noticed my skin changing.

I felt my body shifting in ways I didn’t expect.

I was understanding aging parents and adult children.

And in the midst of all of that, I began questioning my career — a career I truly love. I replayed decisions, wondered about mistakes, and reflected deeply on what I’ve learned along this journey as a beauty professional and as a woman.

What I realized is this:

Nothing was wrong with me.

I wasn’t losing myself.

I was changing and so were my priorities.

And instead of fighting it, I decided to honor it.

Honoring This Season was born from that realization — the understanding that we don’t have to throw everything away or start from scratch. We get to adjust. We get to rediscover who we are NOW. We get to reclaim our time, our confidence, and restore emotional well-being with grace.

This work — this message — isn’t just what I offer.

It’s what I’m living.

If you’re in a season where things feel different, quieter, heavier, or simply unfamiliar, I want you to know this:

You’re Not Alone.

You’re not behind.

You’re becoming.

And I’m honored to walk through this season with you.

As we step into a new year, we’re doing something a little different at My Sister’s Stuff.

January isn’t about starting over or resolving to be someone new.

It’s about honoring the season you’re in right now.

This month, we’re introducing a new focus we’re calling Honoring This Season — a reminder that growth doesn’t require erasing who you’ve been. It simply asks us to adjust, listen, and care for ourselves with intention.

We believe beauty and fashion can be powerful tools for wellness when they support who you are now.

That’s why our message centers around three gentle ideas:

Rediscovering — noticing what’s changed and giving yourself permission to evolve.

Reclaiming — choosing ease, confidence, and time that truly serves your life.

Restoring — using beauty, style, and self-care to support emotional well-being.

Whether it’s refreshing your color, simplifying your wardrobe, or taking a quiet moment for yourself, this season deserves grace — not pressure, prayer with intention, and a sisterhood to keep you lit when your light feels dim.

We’re honored to walk into this new year with you, exactly as you are.

With gratitude,

Stephanie Kirkland
